Last night, we unexpectedly got a smiley at 13DPO. Jaci called into work today, and I went in but left early. We went to the bank and picked up the tank, and when we got back in the car, “All I want for Christmas is You,” by Mariah Carey was on the radio. It seemed fitting.
Jaci had text Dr. Lee this morning and found out he wasn’t in the office today, but he connected us with another doctor and we were able to get a 10:30 appointment. We saw Dr. George Amyradakis, and he was excellent.
He said even though we felt like we ovulated early, it was right when they wanted us to (about 5 days after finishing the Femara), and that maybe her body responded better to the Femara than the Clomid. He also said he felt really good about this cycle, and that he felt like this was our month.
The IUI went well, and the doctor looked under the microscope and said the count/motility looked good. He had Jaci lay down for about 30 minutes after the procedure, and he said he wants us to come in for a progesterone level next Friday and start taking HPTs at 10DPO (12/12). If/when we get a positive, they want Jaci to use Prometrium suppositories to help support the pregnancy.
I let my boss know I wasn’t going to make it back to work, and we went out and got some lunch. When we went into the restaurant, “All I Want for Christmas is You,” was on the radio again, and when we left lunch and got in the car, it was on again.
Here’s hoping this is our month, because Baby, all we want for Christmas is you.
